PROJECT OVERVIEW
Tribute Rising is a new chapter for Durham’s historic Hayti community. Guided by The Integral Group in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Durham, the redevelopment seeks to honor the neighborhood’s past while shaping a forward-looking vision of opportunity and connection.
Currently, Tribute Rising will be built in three phases. Phase 1, slated to begin in late 2026, includes 333 thoughtfully designed affordable and market-rate homes alongside nearly 12,000 square feet of local-serving retail. Beyond housing, Tribute Rising will feature
welcoming green spaces, community amenities, and vibrant gathering places that promote well-being for families, seniors, and individuals alike. New retail and business opportunities will spark economic growth, ensuring the development benefits both residents and the broader Durham community.
Together, these elements lay the foundation for a neighborhood that celebrates its heritage, fosters belonging, and builds a resilient future where everyone has the chance to thrive.
